Tom Paxton is a living legend in the world of music and the very reason that many a person picked up a guitar for the first time and headed out on the road with a bunch of songs, some of them Tom’s. Paxton songs have been covered by everyone from Willie Nelson to Placido Domingo. For almost forty years he has been at the forefront of folk music; a purveyor of well crafted words he has spoken out for civil rights and the common good, no more so than in recent times.

Tom returns to the UK this autumn with his very special guests Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, producers of Tom’s Grammy nominated “Your shoes, My Shoes.” Cathy and Marcy have earned eight Grammy nominations, including “Best Traditional Folk Album” for their latest CD “Postcards”. Described as an eclectic folk festival on their own terms, they are holders of no less than thirty five Wammy’s, (Washington Area Music Awards).

Tom Paxton says “Cathy & Marcy are at home in a dozen musical styles. They swing you, jazz you, and old timey you till you just give up and bliss out.”
