About Red Kite Studio
Set near the stunning landscapes of Brecon Beacons
National Park in mid-Wales, Red Kite Studio and its label affiliate of the
same name are the vision of producer Martin Levan, a man on a mission to
bring music made by people not machines to the public ear.
Internationally renowned for his work with major
bands in rock and jazz, Levan became an award-winning theatrical sound designer
in the 80s and 90s before returning to recording with Red Kite.
His vision now is to offer talented musicians
an outlet for their work in an environment where performance could be developed
freely.
Comments Martin: "I am recording some really
great music performed by musicians. I got tired of listening to music that
had been computer-generated."
Feedback to Red Kites initial release schedule
in world, roots and jazz, has been highly positive. Says Martin: "We have
found no shortage of talent, established and new, to share in our aims. The
reaction to the label and the studio has been amazing."
On a 160 acre private estate, overlooking a placid
