Steve Tilston back on the road again

Rare Thing from Such & Such issued as a single

Songs from the Dress Rehearsal available now. (Produced by Rupert Hine 1976)

Includes six previously unreleased tracks. (Produced by Stefan Grossman 1979)

Steve Tilston is a celebrated English folk artist, winning as much praise for his superb guitar playing as his songwriting and vocal style. His canon of work is widely recognised within the world of folk and contemporary music throughout Europe, Australia and the USA.

Fellow musicians describe him as “a singer songwriter of rare talent” and “absurdly accomplished, a complete guitarist.”

He’s toured with Ballet Rambert, John Renbourn’s Ship of Fools, with traditional singer Maggie Boyle in WAZ, with Maartin Allcock and Pete Zorn and more recently with Brooks Williams in A Transatlantic Song-Swap.

He’s the writer of the classic songs The Slipjigs and Reels, The Naked Highwayman and Here’s to Tom Paine and his songs have been covered by a who’s who of the folk scene.

“If you want to get an idea of his talent, imagine someone who can play guitar like John Renbourn or Bert Jansch while writing songs like Ralph McTell”. Folk & Music Exchange USA
